O Farol

This restaurant is OUTSTANDING and is a hidden gem in Purley! The decor was amazing and it had a true feel of Portugal. Our waiter was fantastic, attentive, funny and thoughtful. He catered for me so well as someone who is lactose intolerant (somewhere between a vegetarian and a vegan) and he spoke to the chef personally for me and told me what I would and wouldn't be able to have. The foot itself was AMAZING and presented so beautifully! Both me and my boyfriend absolutely loved it and said we would have gone back the next day if we didn't have plans. We'll definitely be going back soon. If you've been thinking about booking it, do, you won't regret it. Our waiter even stood by the door and said good bye to us as well left. 5 stars all round!!!

I recently dined at O Farol, and it was fantastic! The food was delicious, with fresh, flavorful veggies and a great selection. The service was excellent—attentive and friendly. Plus, the prices were very reasonable for the quality and portions. Highly recommend this spot for authentic Portuguese food and great service! Lovely seating too and very accommodating. Small step down into the restaurant which I think you could get a wheelchair in and out of but the toilet is probably not wheelchair accessible. That said it is a lovely place for food and there is seating at the front if you did not want to negotiate the step with a wheelchair or pushchair. Thanks for a lovely evening!

Exceptional. The cafe opens up to a lovely spacious and light dining area. I had the egg with salmon on toast, the portion size was incredible as seen in the photo. The waitress was exceptionally nice and pleasant, she even took the the charge for the croissant off as I made an error thinking it was a sweet however it was a savoury croissant (my error) - she still took it off the bill. This kind of service will create great customer retention. 5 stars all round
